This place is a solid 4/5. Everyone's heard of Bill's Cafe but I finally got a chance to try it out. This location is situated around a newer apartment building area which is a little strange for a homey diner/cafe. Around 12pm the wait was ~30 minutes, but there's water and coffee outside for people waiting and plenty of chairs and seating.

I got the Californian omelette was about a 2.5-3/5. It had avocado & sour cream on top, tomatoes, mushroom, and cheese on the inside, and I got home fries on the side. They have The Pepper Plant hot sauce here which is almost a salsa-like hot sauce which really added some flavor to the omelette and potatoes. I didn't think the omelette was anything special. The flavors were muted and the eggs weren't very fluffy. The sour cream also didn't taste very... sour? It almost just seemed like cream. However I did do the pancake upgrade instead of toast for a mere $2 (while pancake orders are $9 for 2 on their own) so I thought this was great since I only wanted one pancake anyway. I got the Hawaiian pancake which has shredded coconut and toasted macadamia nut pieces and comes with whipped salted butter (sooo good) and maple syrup. This pancake was also huge and really hit the spot - nice and fluffy and cakey. The menu overall offers pretty typical brunch fare - omelettes, skillets, waffles, pancakes, French toast, Mexican-inspired, etc. I would come back but maybe I'd go for a benedict, a breakfast quesadilla, or just the sweet options instead. They do have pancake/waffle combos with eggs and sausage which is a good compromise between sweet and savory :)

One complaint is that the bathroom was really gross. There are only two all-gender restrooms but there was toilet paper strewn all over. I wish they had more stalls because the line got long fast.

It wasn't crowded at all for a Wednesday morning    We were seated right away.  Attentive waitresses made sure we were treated well.    I had the mini Crab cake Benedict with fried potato.    It was so yummy.     My Dining companion had the omelette with sliced tomatoes r at her than the potatoes.

    It was a great breakfast!

Came in for my first visit this morning at this location off of King Rd!  I'm very familiar with Bill's Cafe, as I have visited some of the other locations in Silicon Valley.  I usually enjoy their breakfast offerings!!!

We were greeted immediately as we entered and promptly escorted to our table.  Unfortunately, our table wasn't clean so we waited until the table was wiped down, which didn't take long.

I ordered the Meat Lovers Omelette with Seasoned Country Potatoes and a friend ordered the Hash Brown Skillet.  The Meat Lovers Omelette was good, but the Seasoned Country Omelette was replaced with Hash Browns!!!  Not sure why that was, but I didn't make big deal of it!!!  It was disappointing, however!!!

I'm not sure if my friend enjoyed her Hash Brown Skillet, but she barely touched it!  Ended up taking it home with her!

The service was good and courteous!!!  But this visit was not as successful as other visits I've had in other Bill's Cafe locations!!!  Not sure if I'll be back!!!  Most likely not!!!  I usually go to the Alameda location, and I've always had an excellent experience there!!!

I like most of the bill's cafe but this location. I park inside the garage and I saw car with breaking window
...... I still park my car and pretending I don't see that, but this kinda of rush me to finish my meal in 20 minutes since I don't want to spend additional $400 to fix my window. The meal was okay but I feel the hash browns is not crispy enough so I didn't really finish the whole meal. Overall experience is okay, but I would prefer other location than this one due to the safety and food quality.

Bill's Cafe is a lovely place for lunch/brunch. The restaurant is spacious with a lot of seating, although it does attract a large crowd - especially on weekends. My group of 4 came in on a Sunday at noon, and surprisingly it took us only about 20 minutes to get seated. I'm not sure if this is the norm or if we were just lucky, but I've heard that the wait time for Bill's on a weekend can be long.

Parking wasn't difficult - the restaurant shares the same building with a parking garage, and there are several signs in the garage that lead you to Bill's.

I ordered the popular and well-received Crab Cakes Benedict with country potatoes

While the Crab Cakes Benedict tasted great, the flavor and texture eventually became too overwhelming and heavy as I kept eating. I did, however, enjoy the country potatoes as they were flavored nicely. I ate half my meal and took the rest to-go. I've heard that the country potatoes are preferable over the hashbrowns, but I'd say I liked both equally.

Portions and taste were mediocre given the price point. It's a nice place with decent service (a little difficult to catch the server's attention, but I understand that he was super busy), but I don't see myself visiting this restaurant regularly. I'd come back once in a while, though I'm sure there are other brunch places in San Jose that are comparable to Bill's.

When I come back, I'll be sure to check out the other menu items!
